Eagerly Awaiting the RAPTURE

Though the writer of the Book of Hebrews is unknown, it's amazing to see how it aligns with other books of the New Testament in its content about Jesus. In fact, it's so similar, that many think Hebrews was penned by the Apostle Paul (who wrote the majority of the books in the New Testament)...though his traditional greeting is not included in the introduction.

Another interesting fact about the book of Hebrews is that it is 45% PROPHECY and the insight it provides into Jesus Christ's second coming is amazing. As far as this verse is concerned, it's not speaking of the RAPTURE or the 7-YEAR TRIBULATION period...instead it speaks to the second coming of Christ after the 7-Year TRIBULATION.

This verse specifically speaks to the fact that during the second coming of Jesus, He will not be returning to bear the sins of the world...He's already done that! Instead, He is returning to "rescue those who eagerly await His return."

Though I'll never wish for anyone to have to face the trials of the TRIBULATION...I can only hope that those left behind during that time will find comfort in this verse. Especially if they become a believer in Jesus Christ!

This also reminds me that the Christians of today should be "eagerly awaiting" His return as well. We may not be here during the TRIBULATION period, but we are here today...and the promise of God to RAPTURE His church is truly something to be eager for.
